Koas in brief
Central Finland Student Housing Foundation (Koas) builds and rents out apartments for students in Jyväskylä. The organisations behind the foundation are the City of Jyväskylä, Jyväskylä University Student Union (JYY) and JAMK University of Applied Sciences Student Union (JAMKO).
The foundation provides affordable and safe rental housing for all students in secondary and tertiary education. Koas manages a total of 2 467 apartments and 54 % (1 330) of them are studio apartments. The foundation provides housing for a total of 3664 students.
The Board of Trustees is responsible for organizing the foundation's operations. The Board consists of the Chair and up to nine members.
Residents play an important role. AsuVa coordinates and supports the activities of the various Tenant Committees.
